I also express outrage! How one man can be so stupid??? Come on, was this the best thing he can do - to cite some emperor from 14th century what he thinks about Islam? Guess what - in that time nothing good could be told about Christians and the sword! Think about the Christianization of Pagan lands, think about Inquisition. And one century after other Christian institution hasn't been the most holy thing in the world!
John Paul II was the best Pope ever! Trying to bring all religions to the peace! And now the radical is back in office bringing everything but progress and peace! Come on then, how about one more crusade?
And in conclusion. Yes, everyone in Muslim world knows about the insult from Ratzinger. Because Muslim chiefs told them the fact and told how to react. Yes, Vatican appologized. But a few % in Muslim world know about it. Because their chiefs aren't interested in telling the truth.
Such person as the Pope must THINK BEFORE he says something.

Or did he do it on purpose???
