Last-minute Bush abortion ruling causes furor

WASHINGTON: A last-minute Bush administration plan to grant sweeping new protections to health care providers who oppose abortion and other procedures on religious or moral grounds has provoked a torrent of objections, including a strenuous protest from the government agency that enforces job-discrimination laws.
The proposed rule would prohibit recipients of federal money from discriminating against doctors, nurses and other health care workers who refuse to perform or to assist in the performance of abortions or sterilization procedures because of their "religious beliefs or moral convictions."
It would also prevent hospitals, clinics, doctors' offices and drugstores from requiring employees with religious or moral objections to "assist in the performance of any part of a health service program or research activity" financed by the Department of Health and Human Services.

Whether pro-FOCA or anti-FOCA...battlelines are definitely being drawn.
It sounds like the good old United States of America where people from all over the world flee to (including myself) to find peace and freedom-free to do what is right and good is turning into a Communist nation where good and moral people are being forced into doing things that violate their good-standing conscience. How sad!
Seriously, the Anti-Christ (the anti-Life...Jesus says he is the way, the truth and the LIFE. Anybody who is anti-LIFE is anti-CHRIST for Christ is our LIFE) foretold by Jesus Christ two thousand years ago, is here! I wonder what's next? I better re-read my Bible to see what is coming after the invasion of the ANTI-CHRIST. I mean, this economic colapse and global warming, wars, attack on innocent human life from the unborn to the terminally ill, the suffering and handicapped, Tsunamies, earthquakes, natural disasters like Katrina, have caused enough suffering, tribulations, and despair in our world and nation today.
I wonder what's next...what will take place in this comfortable world of ours after the appearance of the ANTI-CHRIST. After all, all of these things that are taking place these days are predicted in the Bible as warnings to be hold and get oneself ready for the second coming of Jesus Christ the day when Christ will seperate the bad from the good based on how well they serve Him in this world as proclaimed in the Gospel reading today. God is full of wisdom. He doesn't want to tell us of the exact day of His second coming because He wants us to be always ready every moment of our life doing good for ourselves and all of human life and live in a respecful and peaceful world.
May God bless the Bush Administration for all it has done for the protection of the innocent human life and for looking our for the good conscience and morality of well-meaning people such as Christians whose only goal is to bring the peace and goodness of Christ in the heart and soul of our troubled and desperate humanity and world.
May God bless America.
To forcefully take away the religious and moral freedom of good-hearted citizens through FOCA and other anti-moral, anti-life, and anti-religious laws is the greatest injustice similiar to the time of Hitler.
May Christians unite and pray, "Come, Lord Jesus, come. Come reign in our hearts and in our world now and forever, amen."
We must stand, whatever the cost, and be witnesses for what is right and good. After all, the majority of the first believers in Christ, died as witnesses to the gospel. The Lord has called all believers to be with Him in spirit and in truth, no matter how difficult. For, without the moral precepts of the Lord guiding our behavior we will soon lose our liberty as a free people.
