Protecting Europe's Cultural and Spiritual Heritage

VATICAN CITY, 9 DEC 2008 (VIS) - Made public today was a Message from the Pope to Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran and Archbishop Gianfranco Ravasi, presidents respectively of the Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialogue, and the Pontifical Council for Culture, for the occasion of a day of study promoted by their two dicasteries on the theme: "Dialogue between Cultures and Religions".

"Modern Europe as it enters the third millennium is the fruit of two millennia of civilisation", the Pope writes. "Its roots lie both in the vast and ancient heritage of Athens and Rome and, above all, in the fruitful soil of Christianity, which has proved capable of creating new cultural heritages while absorbing the original contributions of each civilisation".

After highlighting the importance of "reflecting upon the ancient roots in which abundant lymph has flowed over the course of the centuries", Benedict XVI indicates that although "many Europeans seem to ignore Europe's Christian roots, these roots remain alive and should show the way and nourish the hope of millions of citizens who share the same values".

The goals are admirable, but the fruitful soil of Christianity has not brought peace. Truly 'there is only one name given under heaven whereby we must be save," Jesus Christ; but scriptures have been fulfilled saying that God's commands would be ignored and times would be changed.

The greatest work of the Catholic Church and Pope Benedict XVI will be restoring the calendar, 7th day Sabbath, and Holy Days according to Exodus 20 and Leviticus 23 and to end celebrations God commanded not to be added in Deuteronomy 4:2.

Dialogue Between Cultures and Religions will reach its peak when each religion follows what God gave to their prophets. The primary message of the Qur'an is to follow the whole Bible. Jesus said to live by every word of God. That is agreement. The Jews can only accept Jesus as the Messiah when people recognize he did not end the law through Moses and the prophets; only a false prophet was to come and turn the people from God's word.

The Messiah and Mahdi are the word of God for deliverance, the word of God that we anoint with our faith, regardless of who it comes through.

Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28 are promises of the One God of all people who proclaimed one law for the Jew and the stranger. They promise blessings and peace for obedience and terror and destructions and loss for the disobedience. Through the centuries and even now, the witness of God against us shows we are disobedient for those rewards are given to us. They do not stop UNTIL we turn from our wicked ways and acknowledge that the faithful God is King and He will be our king.
